March has arrived, which allows us to turn the page to new planner sections. If you're a journaling enthusiast, the first of the month is always an exciting time to start with freshly inked spreads and crisp white boxes. This month, I'm using a three book system and I've found a few tools for productivity I'd like to share with you.

My journaling style always changes as my analogue needs ebb and flow. This month I'm trying a new system using my Cloth and Paper monthly planner as a place to plan my content in a highly structured way. Then I'm using my Cloth and Paper hardcover notebook as a bullet journal and a place where I can write out my processes and ideas as well as daily lists. Then I have my off brand TikTok shop sketchbook of chaos for junk journaling and brain dumps.

My March Planner Reset Ideas and Tips

  • Use sticky notes as temporary planning boxes: This month I started using my roll of Zip Notes as a sort of "first draft: for my calendar boxes. I wanted to write my content calendar in my planner, but I needed a place to plan it first. The Zipnotes allow me to be messy in this space without compromising a clean and neat calendar when I'm done.

  • Cohesive design with a sticker collection: I was gifted this sticker book collection as part of a TikTok Collab, and I've been really impressed by how a sticker collection makes it easy to add a cohesive aesthetic to whatever you're designing. I love how easy it is to mix and match the stickers and create something that feels compelling. This particular book is apothecary-themed and the mushroom and dandelion stickers are perfect for the front page of my spring planner.

  • Multiple books for your multiple moods: I tried for a long time to keep one book for all my journaling needs and I was never satisfied with the process. I began creating separate books to allow myself planning at different tempos. My monthly planner is meant to be a tidy bible of facts. My bullet journal is a more flexible daily map of my brain. And my sketchbook is the lizard brain of it all where I can jot whatever notes I need and vent some creativity. I'm finding that I really enjoy having one book out at a time so I can work in the mood I'm in.
